“Trailwear/Campuswear: A Brief History of Outdoor Clothing and Gear at UW-Madison,” exhibit, Outdoor UW, Wisconsin Union, September 2014-present
At the request of the outdoor programs office at UW-Madison, I developed a small exhibition based on original primary research that spoke to the interests of student members of the UW’s largest undergraduate organization, the outdoor club Hoofers. The exhibit, which I curated and wrote independently, and designed in collaboration with the outdoor programs office, includes photographs from university archives, physical artifacts from the campus community, and interpretive signs situating the recreational practices of students on campus in larger historical context.
